We are looking to recruit a telesales and customer service executive to join our growing team. An interest in beer is a plus (but we can show you how great beer is!), more important is an individual who loves working in a fast-paced, diverse environment – one moment you could be calling a customer and taking an order, the next you could be serving in our shop or making a collection up for our website and that’s before we mention the taproom, keeping our information up to date, building relationships and delivering great customer service. There is even an opportunity to get involved with our social media channels if thats your thing.

Role: Telephone & Customer Service Executive

Status: Always interested in hearing from good people

Location: Hadnall Brewery site

Reporting to: Office Manager

Direct Reports: None

External Relationships: Trade Customers, General Public via Taproom, Shop and Web

Internal Relationships: Sales Department, Brewery and Distribution staff

Hours of Work: 8am – 4.30pm Monday – Friday, Monthly Taproom openings and Bank Holiday cover on rota

Main Purpose of Role:

  • The Voice of Salopian Brewery to prospective and existing customers – sharing our passion and energy for beer
  • Order capture and upselling of our range from outgoing and incoming calls
  • Updating of customer database and identifying opportunities
  • Back-office administration including processing of invoices & payments
  • Fulfilment of online orders and customer click and collect thru picking, packing and dispatch
  • Serving customers in Brewery shop and maintaining the environment
  • Supporting the monthly Taproom openings
  • Potential to be involved Social Media channel management and content creation

Person Specification:

  • Comfortable in fast paced environment and able to multi-task and prioritise accordingly
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to achieve daily callage targets, generating interest with current and prospective customers and closing sales
  • Passion for customer service and building relationships
  • Have a great telephone presence
  • Strong listening and presentation skills, with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Analytical, confident, team player, with keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Experience of social media content creation not essential but an advantage

Job specification requirements:

  • Experience of working to tight deadlines
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Proficient in using Microsoft software (Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • Working with numbers and ability to learn commercial/industry related terms
  • Industry related experience an advantage
  • Must have a driving licence

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high standards of customer service, taking and inputting orders efficiently and accurately
  • To have a clear and personable telephone manner
  • Take ownership of solving customer issues through pro-active customer service.
  • Maintenance of customer records and identifying lapsed or lost stockists or potential opportunities
  • To build strong relationships with field sales team, supporting them with new and existing business and their administration needs
  • Building relationships with regular customers and being a regular point of contact
  • Back-office and general administration duties including, filing, processing orders etc.
  • Fulfilment of online shop orders via daily courier collection or through customer click and collect at the brewery and point of contact for any issues

Role: Brewery Operative Operative

Reporting to: Brewery and Operations Manager

Hours of Work: 8am – 4.30pm Monday – Friday. Occasional bank holidays may be required.

Main Purpose of Role:

  • Cask Cleaning & Preparation
  • Packaging of our beers in cask, keg and small pack
  • Upkeep of the brewery environment – cellar, warehouse, and site
  • Assisting with deliveries to our customers as required

Person Specification:

  • Essential you have positive attitude, great people skills, are well organised and with an attention to detail
  • A team player but also able to work independently
  • Must be flexible with working hours due to the nature of the industry
  • An interest in beer is preferable, but not essential as long as you are keen to learn
  • Provide proof that they have the right to work in the UK

This is a broad role with the primary responsibility of making efficient and accurate multi drop deliveries to a range of customers across the region. Alongside this, are duties at the brewery including picking and preparation of deliveries, cask preparation, and supporting with the day-to-day upkeep of the brewery environment. A clean driving licence is a must, along with a C1 licence with CPC. A forklift certificate of competence would also be advantageous.

Location: Hadnall Brewery site with deliveries to customers across the region

Reporting to: Distribution Team Leader

Hours of Work: 8am – 4.30pm Monday – Friday. Occasional bank holidays may be required.

Main Purpose of Role:

  • 5 tonne Multi-Drop deliveries of cask, keg and small pack beers to variety of outlets across the region
  • Collecting empty casks from customers
  • Loading and unloading of vehicles – manually & using FLT
  • Picking orders for deliveries, individually and as part of a team
  • Promoting a professional image of our company to customers

Person Specification:

  • Must be over 25 years of age for insurance purposes
  • Have a clean, full UK driving licence held for over 5 years
  • Provide proof that they have the right to work in the UK
  • An interest in beer is preferable, but not essential as long as you are keen to learn.
  • Must be flexible with working hours due to the nature of the industry
  • As the public face of the brewery, it’s essential you have positive attitude, great people skills, are well organised and with an attention to detail
  • A team player but also able to work independently
